Abslowlutely

The economy. Is affecting, ME NOW.
agjasldgjasgjdgjakldgjaodugp

This is a ranting and raving blog, ONLY BECAUSE I am almost out of money. I am practically desperate for a sale. I even tried trading with a couple of people to show some activity in my shop, thus increasing the traffic to my etsy.

A couple of my pieces have been on the front page in the past week or so, and I thought that would increase sales. I was wrong though.

Yarrrrrrghhhhhhh! Is anyone else experiencing a massive slow-down?

The pulse.

What a creeper I am. I love sitting or laying behidn someone at such an angle where you can see the pulse in their neck. I love the way the skin bumps back down as quickly as it bumped up.

I'm sitting at Prince Street Cafe, towards the window which directly faces the Fulton Opera House. Every once in a while, the sun reflects on someone's car and a beam of light bounces into my eyes. I can't say I like it, but I can't say I don't. ....Spring is coming.

So yes, a lot has changed..... and I need to write about it.

I'm not ashamed to share this: My previous relationship ended in the beginning of December. Not by my decision, but his own. We were together for over 1 year. By now he has found someone else... but so did I! Immediately after the breakup, a boy I have known since KINDERGARTEN immediately began pursuing me. He had heard through the grapevine about the situation and had seen me at a couple of get togethers at a friends house when I was not single. He asked a couple friends about me, got in touch with me, and we decided to go out for coffee when I returned from vacation!

We went out to coffee, and I thought the day would just end there. But we didn't want to stop hanging out.. I mentioned something about going to Philadelphia for the day, and within 5 seconds he was on his iPhone looking up train tickets. We spent the ENTIRE day there, and it was incredible. I can not even tell you the last time I've had a more intellectually stimulating conversation with someone my age.

This boy is incredible. I would write more but I'm going to keep you on your toes.

So this didn't really exude "crafty bloggerness," however I am satisfied with what I have expressed and the mere fact that I have expressed it, period.

GOODBYE! Happy Tuesday :)

Movies.

I have definitely been enjoying movies including the following people (whether actors, actresses, directors, etc.):

Nicholas Cage.
Steve Corell (I almost put Michael Scott!)
David Lynch.
Brittany Murphy (why do I even like her?!)

IN OTHER NEWS:
1) I have been FELTING and KNITTING away in my cute, comfy basement.
2) I haven't been to my sewing studio in almost a month [I simply haven't had the time because of school.]
3) A new girl is moving into the sewing studio! She actually, ironically enough, used to be my best friend in middle school.
4) My parents hired a guy to re-create the folding roof above the stairwell outside of my bedroom, which leads to the outdoors. IT DOESN'T WORK! THIS MEANS THAT I CAN'T TAKE PICTURES ANYMORE IN THAT SLIGHTLY GROSS STAIRWELL BECAUSE THERE IS NO MORE NATURAL LIGHT!
5) #5 is actually a GOOD thing because thsi will force me to take pictures of new creations once a week in the studio! So I'll be forced to return to the studio.

Vegetarian Month

So my brother is living with us now...
I was in Yoga class the other day, and the instructor told us that OCTOBER is World Vegetarian Month (October 1st is World Veggie DAY.) My brother and I have decided to participate. I'll be photo-doumenting our little veggie journey.
I couldn't do anything without the help of my trusty veggie cookbook, VEGETARIAN BASICS.

So far I've been doing great! I haven't even craved meat. I really have a weak spot for hearty chicken dishes, but I'm doin' good!

Try THIS recipe (this is my version of the Roasted Veggie Sandwich):
SERVES 2-3 HUNGRY PEOPLE!
Preheat your Broiler.
Slice the following:
1 green/red/yellow bell pepper, 1 Medium Onion, A handful or more of Grape Tomatoes in half.
Throw them in a casserole dish and toss these vegetables in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Put them in the broiler for 8 minutes, making sure they are 4"-5" away from the fire. Stir halfway through cooking time.
While they are cooking, slice an avocado and toast hearty wheat rolls.
Take 1/4 C Mayonnaise and sprinkle in dried basil and garlic powder. Stir.
Spread on each half of the wheat rolls, Pile roasted veggies and fresh avocado on top of the roll.
